AGIT 2026: From Poster Wall to Marketplace Booth
A year ago, we reported on our Digiway poster presentation at AGIT 2025 – a compact appearance, one project, one poster. At AGIT 2026, the Symposium for Applied Geoinformatics in Salzburg (July 8–9, 2026), it is evident how much has changed in a year: MovingLayers is present in five roles simultaneously this year, from the opening remarks to its own booth.
Silver Sponsor and Opening Remarks
In 2026, MovingLayers is participating for the first time as a Silver Sponsor of AGIT. As part of this partnership, we will deliver the welcome address at the AGIT opening, presenting to the assembled professional audience right at the start of the conference.
Workshop 2A: Permitting Planning with Kermit GeoAI
On the first day of the conference, July 8, starting at 9:00 AM, MovingLayers will contribute an impulse presentation to Workshop 2A "Geo-Knowledge Graphs and Geospatial Artificial Intelligence | GI Studio" (Workshop Lead: Franz Welscher): "Permitting Planning with Kermit GeoAI", five minutes, one central question: What if the GIS doesn't wait for commands, but thinks for itself?
Using the example of a wind farm project manager without GIS background, we demonstrate how a permitting review – protected areas, Natura 2000 sites, minimum distance zones along a planned row of facilities – can be condensed from five fragmented work steps into a single natural language prompt: Kermit GeoAI breaks down the technical question, performs the analysis, pauses at a Human-in-the-Loop control point in accordance with EU AI Act Art. 14, and delivers the result including an auditable chain of evidence. Kermit has been in production since Q4 2025, runs entirely on-premise, and covers over 36 GIS processes in the Recipe Store.
Meet & Match: In Exchange with the Community
MovingLayers is also participating in the Meet & Match at AGIT 2026 – the structured format for targeted professional exchange between companies, research, and public administration. For us, this is a good opportunity to engage directly with potential partners and users.
MoversSurvey at our own Marketplace Booth 12
Concluding our AGIT appearance is our own Marketplace Booth number 12, where we will present MoversSurvey: our mobile, offline-capable solution for structured field data collection – with map annotation, photo documentation, GPS localization, and configurable questionnaires. Anyone who wants to see firsthand how field surveys can be digitized without media breaks is welcome at Booth 12 – where there will also be short demos of Kermit GeoAI.
Especially for AGIT 2026, there is also a special trade fair offer: the MoversSurvey AGIT 2026 Bundle of hardware and software in a complete package. Trade fair visitors can register for a trial version directly at the booth and try out MoversSurvey without obligation after the conference in their own practice.
