We receive whatever your planning offices, surveying offices and contractors deliver — DWG, DXF, shapefiles, PDF plans, point lists, specialist formats — and transfer it into your data model: layer and attribute mapping, coordinate transformation, geometry checks, naming conventions, metadata. Whatever does not fit goes back to the supplier with a comprehensible test report, rather than into your data holdings. Maintaining and quality-assuring asset data

Maps, plan sets and approval documents

Orthophotos, aerial imagery and point clouds

Georeferencing, clipping and tiling, building image pyramids, managing the annual series, integration as a service into your GIS and web environment. Also the connection of official aerial imagery and elevation data, and the derivation of point cloud and elevation information for your specialist applications. Your benefit: Your aerial survey becomes a usable layer for everyone instead of a folder that three people know about.

Provision and access

Why this is more than outsourcing

Simply handing over geodata maintenance would mean buying permanent manual labour. We aim for the opposite: every recurring task is first described as a rule, then verified, then automated as far as it pays off. Validation routines, processing pipelines, map templates — these grow over the course of the collaboration and make the effort per delivery smaller rather than larger.

The rule set belongs to you. It is documented and held at your organisation, works with open formats, and can be continued by any other service provider or by your own team. We want to be indispensable because we are good — not because nobody else understands how it works.

How the collaboration starts

We start small and without commitment: a survey of your data and delivery routes, a first processing run on real material, and a rule set derived from it. After that you decide which services move to us permanently, at what cadence and with what response times — we define that together instead of selling you a package that does not fit your operation.

Where this experience comes from

We have been operating and maintaining geodata on behalf of others for years. For TransnetBW we developed structured QGIS projects as a binding medium of communication in energy grid approval procedures. For BOKU Vienna we have been responsible since 2026 for updating and running waldbrand.at, the Austrian information platform for wildfire risk. In the Interreg project DIGIWAY we implemented a cross-border geospatial pipeline for the EUREGIO Tyrol-South Tyrol-Trentino.

Frequently asked questions

Are you replacing our GIS team?
No — and that would be the wrong idea anyway. Your team knows your network, your departments and your special cases; nobody from outside can bring that. We take the recurring production work off their hands so that scarce internal time goes where it is really needed.

Do we have to change our system for this?
No. We work in your environment, with your formats and your specifications. If in the process we notice that something in the system landscape is the real bottleneck, we will tell you — as an observation, not as a sales pitch.

How does the data reach you?
By whatever route already exists at your organisation: access to your database or your data room, an agreed exchange directory, or deliveries from your offices straight to us with validation and forwarding to you. Data protection, access routes and confidentiality are agreed in writing beforehand.

Do you fly the aerial surveys yourselves?
The flight is carried out by specialised partners. We take care of the specification and acceptance of the survey and of everything afterwards: georeferencing, processing, provision and management of the annual series.

Can we start small?
Explicitly yes. A single processing run or one map series is a good first test — for you as much as for us. What becomes permanent is decided afterwards.
