Same project – four data worlds. Kermit GeoAI connects them.

Infrastructure projects rarely fail due to missing data — they fail because planners, GIS analysts, network operators, and authorities work in completely different data languages. Every interface means media breaks, manual handoffs, and information loss.

Kermit GeoAI is MovingLayers’ answer to this structural problem — born from our own practice in infrastructure and geodata work, now a product for infrastructure, existing assets, and operations.

What Kermit GeoAI does

Kermit translates natural language questions directly into complete geodata analyses — without requiring the user to know every analysis step:

“Which pipeline sections in Zone A have not been inspected for more than three years and are located in areas with elevated subsidence risk?”
<

The agent plans the complete analysis sequence before the first step is executed — all data sources, all processing rules, all intermediate results. Expertise is not just applied — it becomes scalable.

Three design principles

  • On-Premise — Your network and asset data never leave your infrastructure. Non-negotiable for infrastructure operators with sensitive data.
  • Human-in-the-Loop — At defined checkpoints, the domain expert reviews and approves. The system supports, the decision stays with the human.
  • Complete evidence chain — Every analysis documents data sources, parameters, and regulatory references. No black box. Auditable under EU AI Act (Art. 12 & 14).

Prerequisite: shared data foundation

Kermit requires a shared data model. MovingLayers supports you — from structured field data capture with the MOVERS Survey App through administered geodatabases (PostGIS, QGIS) to integration with existing GIS and BIM workflows.

Who is Kermit GeoAI for?

  • Network operators and asset managers in energy, transport, and infrastructure
  • BIM managers and GIS experts in planning and approval processes
  • Digitalisation leaders in the public and private infrastructure sector
  • Organisations with compliance requirements (EU AI Act, internal governance)

Kermit GeoAI is natively integrated in QGIS — where your geodata work already happens.
